Run for the Roses

A Message from Joe and Priscilla:

We have just finished looking at the unbelievable pictures from Our Run.  I was able to see the faces behind the motorcycles' and cars' roar that we heard that day.  So many that we just couldn't take it all in that day.  Your faces told us so many things.  I am truly in awe of the sheer numbers of you wo gave up something else that day to be with us instead.  For I realize how busy and how many obligations you all must have.

I know there were many of you who have also had their lives changed by a personal instance of family violence.  Our prayer balloons were sent up not only for our Rachel and Lilly, but for you and your loved ones too.  Thank you all who came and sought comfort and to those wo came to give comfort.

Your companionship and comraderie at the Run For The Roses was deeply felt by Joe and I, Rachel and Lilly's family and friends.  We hope you fould some peace in that day as well.
The 3rd annual Run for the Roses ride was held Sunday, October 2nd, 2011 in memory of Rachel & Lillian Rose Entwistle to benefit the fight against Domestic Violence and Child Abuse.

The Matterazzo and Souza families along with the rest of the Run-for-the-Roses team would like to THANK YOU for coming out to support such as worthy cause.  We are proud to call you our friends.

Without a doubt, we succeeded in our goal of being bigger and better than the year before.  More bikes, more cars, more people, live band, and more fun.  All of which adds up to a successful event with more funds raised for an excellent cause.

While I'm sure that the threatening skies kept some people away, I'm confident that those that did take a chance on the weather were glad they did.  As it turned out, the weather did cooperate and reward all those that showed up.

The place was hopping with great food, roasted pig, great raffle items (including a hockey stick signed by the 2010-2011 Stanley Cub Bruins), an fantastic band (thank you DYNAGROOVE), but most of all, great friends.  Both old friends and new found friends.

We would like to thank all those that came and helped support our cause, the supporters who donated money, raffle items, food, goods and services.  Also a special thanks to all of our volunteers who worked tirelessly to make this happen.  As without you, none of it would be possible.

THANK YOU TO ALL.

Lastly, while our Run for the Roses is over for this year, the cause is not.  We would greatly appreciate any donations of any amount.  If you are able to help, please do so by Clicking Here to Donate.

Please keep posted for future events.
